We are so grateful for the continued prayers love and support! The outpouring of kindness is still so humbling, and help and uplift us (our entire family) daily!! THANK YOU!
Tams had a little bit of a hard weekend... major withdrawals, and they found today she also has a wound site yeast infection on her back- they moved her back down to the PICU early Saturday morning... But she fought through and is doing better! Today she had all if her bandages taken off, cleaned up, and rebandaged! As you can see they were able to leave parts of them off! And those sweet fingers we all prayed so hard for are looking Great!! (Miracle!) her cadaver skin is ready to come off/falling off (expected) Her legs are ready to be re-harvested, so they will do her back skin graft surgery tomorrow!
Dane had a very good weekend! He was calm most of the time, medically stable, requests which movies he wants to watch, and told me 'he loves me too' (happy tears) He also had his bandages removed, got cleaned up and rebandaged! Notice his finger tips too- (that we specifically prayer hard for) from needing more 'thicker skin' grafting on his palm, and chance of losing his finger tips all together- to needing NO More grafting on his hand! (Miracle!) He is scheduled for his back to be grafted on Wednesday!
We are all grateful, and feel so extremely blessed! Thanks a million! Much Love!
Tamlen and Dane Updates

Tuesday, July 22, 2014
Dane & Tamlen have both undergone several skin grafting surgeries, the most recent one being yesterday. They have been able to get on the schedule of a very sought after surgeon, Dr. French, she is meticulous!! An actual artist, she has taken extra time and precautions to give them both the best of her abilities.
Dane had a very long, hard, painful, scary Monday. Starting about 2:30 yesterday morning, his heart rate, and temperature sky rocketed, and his O2 levels dropped significantly. They immediately did a chest X-ray, and catscan to find he had several air pockets in his left lung. The images showed that the air pockets moved his heart over... The got him to OR as soon as they could, inserted a line directly into his lung, and a breathing tube again. Thanks to a gracious Father above for answering all the many prayers said, and the best medical staff, they got his left lung under control!! The line they placed allowed a lot of crap (blood, pus etc.) to drain. Poor little boy trying to breath with all of that.. He is one tough boy- that won't quit fighting!!! Grateful for the prayers for him, especially today! They were able to get him stable enough to proceed with his skin grafting procedure as scheduled, he had to have his entire entire face/head grafted. Again the Team of experts were very happy with how well it turned out! They washed, and rebandaged the rest of his body- and say it all looks great!! He, too, will be medically sedated for the next few days.
Thank you all again for your continued prayers and support- we are positive it is helping these sweet babies, and the rest of our family!
FIRST we need to say a big huge THANK YOU to every single one of you for the love & prayers being extended. The phone calls, Facebook notes, text messages, cards, letters, and actual visits to Denver have been so very appreciated. Can't say thank you enough ~ it's almost not a big enough expression to fully summarize the gratitude felt. The love and moral support that our parents have received from all of you has been amazing. The love of family & friends truly buoys them up & makes this whole ordeal bearable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and their hearts too!
Next is another big HUGE thank you for all of the fundraising donations!!! The generosity shown is miraculous in itself. Every single donation will help so much, there is still a long road in front of these kiddos, their parents. While they would never dream of asking for donations, they will absolutely need them. The kindness shown by everyone is both humbling & mind blowing, they have been brought to tears witnessing every single one. We have all been in awe, as family and friends, the community, even complete strangers have rallied around & gave from the heart. The world is full of good people! There are certainly many blessings to be poured from the Heavens to all of you.

July 10, 2014 UPDATE!
Another successful surgery! (Actually done yesterday July 10)
This surgery they used cadaver skin, to completely redo both Tamlen and Dane's entire backs. The Dr.'s said it was important to get all the dead skin and tissue off, and the cad...aver skin will act as a 'band aid' and allow their bodies to heal better, faster, and they will be in less pain. Their whole backs were both 3rd degree burns ('full thickness'). These sweet, TOUGH babies have had a combined 22hours of surgery in the last 36 hours.(12 for Tams, and 10 for Dane), and still continue to make small improvements each day!! Their next surgery will be for their faces, it is tentatively scheduled for the 22 of July.
Again THANK YOU for your continued support, love and prayers. We are truly blessed!

July 9, 2014 UPDATE!
Tamlen and Danes Surgery went well yesterday!
They were able to harvest skin from most of Tamlens legs, enough to cover both her arms and hands. Her surgery ended up being about 7 hours (not3-4 estimated)
Their Plastic Surgeon and Team wa...s very precise, and meticulous-and wouldn't stop until it was just right-for which we are SO VERY grateful. They specifically got fun, and girly colors to bandage her up.
Dane's surgery also went well, he has a little less healthy skin to harvest. They were able to covered 3/4 of his arms. They again, went out of their way to find some fun dinosaur bandages for this sweet boy! They are unsure what they are going to do with his right hand-- he will need thicker skin for his palm, and they are still unsure if his finger tips will make it. More waiting to see what else his skin is going to do.
We are so impressed with the Dr.s, nurses, specialists etc. After 13 hours of surgery the Plastic Surgeon came directly to the kids rooms (without even stopping for a drink) to talk in depth and detail with us. The nurses know these kids, love them, and treat them with such gentle care. They have been beyond amazing-- and we are SO grateful!!
Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU!! We are overwhelmed, with the amount of love, support, prayers, kind words, and thoughts shown to our family. We are eternally thankful! See More
